 Prize-winning young Filipino-American pianist Jovanni-Rey V. de Pedro will play Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Santa Monica Symphony under Conductor Allen Robert Gross, in a free concert. This is the Santa Monica Symphony’s annual Martin Luther King Commemorative Concert and it will feature the work of two great African-American composers; Adolphus Hailstork’s powerful Symphony No. 1, and William Grant Still’s lively ’Panamanian Dances’.

 See the Golden Globe Foreign Language Nominees as they should be seen, on the big screen.  The Badder-Meinhof Complex, Everlasting Moments, Gomorrah, I’ve Loved You So Long, and Waltz with Bashir are all to be to be shown.  There is also a free seminar with all the directors in person.
