Pardon Our Headline

The Mirror apologizes for what may have been a misleading headline on the story on the death of Herb Katz in last week’s issue: “Herb Katz Ends Decades of Service to City.” As stated in the lead sentence, Mr. Katz passed away; he did not resign from the City Council. We regret any confusion this may have caused.

The Mirror Apologizes for Misunderstanding

In last week’s issue regarding the article, “Carlos Mencia to Perform Benefit for Local School,” we made a mistake of misquoting one Grace Phillips. The quote referring to Edison Elementary not being able to do silent auctions or direct donation drives is false. Edison Elementary does do direct drives and has done silent auctions. We apologize again for any misunderstanding.
