The Venice High boys basketball team was eliminated from the Los Angeles City Section Division 2 playoffs in a third round 69-56 loss to Reseda.Venice, the No. 4 seed, received a first- round bye and won its second-round game from El Camino Real, 69-46.University High, also from the Western League, will play Reseda in the championship game.In Division 1, Western League co-champion Westchester will met Taft in the championship game. Taft upset Fairfax, which has USC-bound center Renardo Sidney and guard Solomon Hill, in the semi-finals.
