Artist is Awarded Fellowship by the Jentel Artist Residency Program

Carol V. Davis of Los Angeles, California, has been awarded a fellowship by the Jentel Artist Residency Program. Jentel is located in a rural setting on a working cattle ranch in the Lower Piney Creek Valley approximately 20 miles southeast of Sheridan, Wyoming. Davis will be among the award recipients focusing on their own creative projects at this working retreat for artists and writers.

During the four-week long residency, Jentel provides space where artists and writers may focus on creating. Communal spaces are designated for research, recreation, food preparation, and dining. Each artist and writer is offered a private, furnished accommodation and a workspace. Each resident receives a stipend to help with living expenses during the program. Artists and writers can have time to allow for thoughtful reflection and meditation on the creative process. The residency provides a resource of time and space for artists to create their work.

HOW-TO SEMINARS AVAILABLE FOR ELEMENT AUCTION

There is a seminar teaching attendees how to make use of the Intellimarke system that will be used to auction 41 Element condominium homes, all at the same time on December 13. Starting bids at $295,000 for home shoppers to “name their price for prime coastal living” with no hidden minimums or reserves.

Unlike other local auctions, the auction company is unable to bid against the public on behalf of the seller and there will be no attempt to renegotiate with winning bidders in the closing room. All highest bids at or above the minimum bid prices will be accepted.

Beginning Sunday, December 6th at 3 p.m., Intellimarket will demonstrate the How-To-Buy procedures during two onsite practice seminars. The second seminar will be held on Wednesday, December 9th at 7 p.m. The official auction day is scheduled for Sunday, December 13th at 1p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey.
