On Monday, January 11, L.A. Stage Alliance will honor dozens of theatres in Los Angeles County at the 20th annual Ovation Awards, covering the 2008/2009 season. Established in 1989, the awards are doled out by theatre professionals in the area, people who know first-hand about the gallons of blood, sweat and tears that get pumped into the live theatre scene every day.
This year’s nominees list includes a few theatres local to the City of Santa Monica, including The Geffen Playhouse, Pacific Resident Theatre, The Odyssey Theatre and The Kirk Douglas Theatre.
