Palisades Sixth For City Playoffs:

The Palisades High boys basketball team has been seeded sixth for the Division 1 Los Angeles City Section playoffs.

Palisades has a home game in the first round on Friday night, February 19 at 7 p.m. The Dolphins will play Birmingham, the No. 11 seed.

Although Palisades was the third place team in the Western League it was regarded by the selection committee as one of the six best in the entire section.

The first five seeds are Western League champion Westchester, Taft, Crenshaw, Washington and Fairfax, the Western League runnerup.

The playoffs will continue until March 6, when the championship game will be played in USC’s Galen Center.

Venice made the playoffs in Division 2 as the No. 15 seed and will play Friday at No. 2 Granada Hills.

In the girls Division 1 playoffs Palisades is seeded 13th and will play at No. 4 Narbonne Friday night at 7.
