Biography: David Ganezer has lived in Santa Monica for 26 years. He grew up in west Los Angeles and attended University High before going on to Stanford University, where he earned a bachelor’s in history in 1982 and a master’s in Russian Studies in 1983. Ganezer served in the Coast Guard Reserve from 1980 to 1986 and graduated from UCLA Law School in 1987. He was a practicing lawyer from 1988 to 1999, when he resigned to become publisher of the Santa Monica Observer. He has been married 18 years and has two children in Santa Monica public schools.
