The Santa Monica Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a sexual assault.
On September 19, 2010 at approximately 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Blvd. and Michigan Ave., a female adult pedestrian (victim) was walking/running to downtown Santa Monica. She accepted a ride from the suspect who drove her into the downtown area and pulled into Public Parking Structure #2, located at 1235 2nd Street. At this point he produced a handgun and sexually assaulted the victim.
The suspect fled the parking structure northbound in the alley towards Wilshire Blvd. then went wesbound on Wilshire out of sight.
