St. Monica Boys Soccer Lose to Serra: Mariners Play at St. Bernard Wednesday

St. Monica Catholic High School boys soccer team lost 2-1 on the road at Gardena Serra Jan. 19.

The Mariners were down 0-1 at halftime but rallied in the second half behind center midfielder Ajay Menon, who scored the team’s first goal, according to coach Sergio Diaz.

The game would be tied for the next 20 minutes before a Serra striker scored the go-ahead goal. The Mariners (3-9-2; 2-1) next play St. Bernard on the road Wednesday. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
