More than 250 UCLA Health System physicians have been honored as “2011 Southern California Super Doctors,” as noted in the January issue of Los Angeles magazine. The magazine recognizes physicians who are highly regarded by their peers throughout Southern California.
Each year, thousands of physicians, nurse practitioners and nurse managers receive ballots that ask: “If you needed medical care, which doctor would you choose?” Several safeguards are built into the process to prevent self-nomination and ballot manipulation.
A blue-ribbon panel of experts groups nominees into more than 30 medical practice areas and assigns point totals based on individual reviews. Each doctor’s professional information is verified to ensure accuracy.
