Through storytelling, classic video footage, and family memorabilia, Kelly Carlin, the only child of iconoclastic comedian George Carlin, chronicles over 40 years of her life with her famous father. A funny, poignant and honest look at the man who not only redefined 20th century comedy, but inspired generations of comedy fans with such classic routines as Hippie Dippie Weatherman, Class Clown, The Seven Dirty Words, A Place for Your Stuff, and Modern Man. All proceeds benefit the Save the Playhouse campaign.

Latin dance party featuring L.A.’s favorite Brazilian songstress, Kátia Moraes. Come prepared to get a groove on – extra points for beads and feathers worn! Samba lessons given before and during the show. Please note that seating will be extremely limited. The unique singer and lyricist Moraes began her career in Rio de Janeiro in the ‘80s with her energetic band “O Espirito da Coisa.” Since then she has performed and/or recorded with top Brazilian acts like Sergio Mendes and Airto Moreira, as well as with Latin Grammy nominee Alex Acuña, Justo Almario’s Tolú, and Dutch acid jazz band Praful.
