Redmond O’Neal Sentenced To One Year Live-In Rehab Following Santa Monica Arrest: Judge also issues five years probation

Redmond O'Neal

Redmond O’Neal, the son of the late Farrah Fawcett, who was arrested by Santa Monica police on Aug. 2 for possessing drug and weapons was sentenced today to a one year live-in rehabilitation program.

He pleaded no contest to the charges that stemmed from SMPD officers stopping him at about 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 2 where they found he was in possession of heroin and marijuana.

O’Neal was seen by a patrol officer arguing with someone at a gas station on the corner of Lincoln Boulevard and Olympic Boulevard (near the I-10 Santa Monica Freeway entrance).

This aroused the officer’s interest so he followed O’Neal as he jumped into his black 2010 Nissan Altima and sped off, blowing through a red turn signal in the process.

After he was stopped, Santa Monica Police Department officer conducted a search and found the drugs.

Sandi Gibbons, of the District Attorney’s Office, told The Mirror that O’Neal entered his no contest plea in the Los Angeles Airport Branch in Department 144 to one count each of heroin possession and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Gibbons said he was also placed on five years probation.

“If he does not complete his probation under the terms imposed by the court, he is looking at three years in state prison,” Gibbons said.
