Kiwis in LA Art Show and Wine Tasting in Santa Monica on Saturday, October 8:

More than 30 Kiwi artists and craftspeople from Los Angeles and beyond, as well as local artists who have a strong connection to New Zealand, and Kid’s Corner, the art of Kiwi Kids will converge in Santa Monica this Saturday, Oct. 8, for the Kiwis in LA Art Show and Wine Tasting in Santa Monica.

It will open to the public from noon to 6 p.m. with a reception from 6 p.m to 10 p.m. at the same location, the Santa Monica Art Studios, 3026 Airport Avenue.

Five New Zealand wineries, including wine from Pacific Prime Wines, Nobilo Wines, Morton Estate Wines, Lineage Imports, Kiwi Distributing’s NZED Wine, along with wine from Croad Vineyards, a Kiwi-owned winery in Paso Robles.

LA Ink star Dan Smith, New Zealand native, will be in attendance. A live auction will be held – one of the prizes will be a tattoo by Smith done live at the event

It is free entry and parking, but RSVP is essential.

The tattoo can be up to 3″x3″ in size, color or black and white and must be in a place on your body that is appropriate for being tattooed live at the art show.

The winner will be able to work with Dan on the design and the tattoo will take an hour to complete. The winner and Smith will be very much part of the show, with attendees able to watch as the tattoo is created live.

The proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Christchurch Earthquake Relief Appeal.
