Major 405 Freeway Closures During The Next Four Nights:

The southbound 405 Freeway lanes will close Tuesday and Wednesday night

The southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway will be closed from the 101 Freeway to Getty Center Drive tonight and Wednesday night, with northbound closures planned on the freeway the following two nights.

Each night, ramps within the freeway closures limits may begin to close as early as 7 p.m. and freeway lanes will begin to close as early as 10 p.m., leading up to the full directional freeway closure between the hours of 12 a.m., midnight, to 5 a.m.

During the closure, the contractor will install a walkway on the north half of the Skirball Bridge, complete Mulholland Bridge column construction work, and remove and replace the overhead freeway signs and structures to support freeway widening.

Sepulveda Boulevard will remain open during the nights of these full directional freeway closures and will be used as a detour route.

Utility relocations will be conducted on the Skirball Bridge during the nights of the full directional freeway closures which requires the closure of the Skirball Bridge from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Emergency access will be maintained on the bridge at all times and pedestrians will be rerouted to an area outside of the construction zone

Detour maps are available at www.metro.net/405.
