A convicted sex offender from Santa Monica has been locked up by northern Virgina police after he tried to shower at a local school, according to NBC Washington.
Zemar Melgerai, 59, allegedly walked into the Fairfax High School around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
The man “accosted” staff members at the school, asking to use a shower, according to NBC’s report.
“Police officers took the subject into custody and transported him to the Adult Detention Center where a warrant was obtained,” police said in a news release.
Melgerai’s bond was set at $3500.
