Occupy Venice To Hold Public Protest, Solidarity Rally At Palisades Park On Saturday Afternoon:

Occupy Venice, in collaboration with other regional Occupy movements such as Occupy Santa Monica College and Occupy Culver City, will be holding a public protest and solidarity rally this Saturday, Nov. 19, at Palisades Park near the Santa Monica Pier.

Organizers say the event will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and all are welcome.

The rally will feature Occupy and social justice speakers such as Mike Feinstein, former mayor of Santa Monica; representatives from Los Angeles peace groups such as Vets for Peace & Arlington West; student Occupy activists; Occupy Los Angeles artists; and a rally for the cause by progressive comedian Rick Overton.
