T-shirts make wonderful wrapping and we are here to show you how.
This year’s clothing/textile recycling event will also feature a mini workshop on constructing no-sew t-shirt bags and how to reuse cloth instead of purchasing new wrapping paper.
The City of Santa Monica’s Resource Recovery and Recycling Division is hosting a textiles collection event on Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the City Yards, helping you to find a new home for all your unusable clothing, towels, bedding, and so much more.
Participants are encouraged to take reusable goods to any of the many charities benefiting the Santa Monica area. A reuse guide is available at www.smgov.net/r3.
