The campaign to re-elect Assemblymember Betsy Butler to the California State Assembly announced endorsements from six more labor organizations.
Endorsements for Assemblymember Butler’s re-election to Assembly District 50 were received from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 11, Ironworkers Local 433, The National Association of Letter Carriers, AFL-CIO, and the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Locals 324, 770 and 1428.
IBEW Local 11 represents over 7,500 electrical workers in Los Angeles; Ironworkers Local 433 represents 5,000 ironworkers in Los Angeles. The National Association of Letter Carriers has nearly 300,000 members nationwide, primarily working as delivery carriers; UFCW Locals 324, 770 and 1428 represent thousands of retail workers in Southern California who work primarily in grocery stores and pharmacies.
Assemblymember Betsy Butler was elected to the California State Assembly in 2010.
The new 50th Assembly District stretches from West Hollywood to Malibu and sweeps south through the Palisades to Santa Monica.
