Small companies, individual business owners, and even large companies have a new place to conduct commerce in Santa Monica as a workplace provider has announced the opening of a full-service office in mid-city.
Regus opened on Dec. 27 at the Yahoo! Center Business Park located at 2500 Broadway. A provider of flexible work-spaces, the new Regus facility will be open to companies seeking hold meetings or otherwise do business in Santa Monica without having to lease their own independent office.
“We are fulfilling the needs of people who want to work in a professional setting at a premier address, without the associated costs of a full-time office or the constant distractions of a home office,” Sande Golgart, a regional vice president with Regus, said.
The communal workspace includes private offices, virtual offices, meeting rooms, videoconferencing, and an administrative staff.
Regus is advertising the shared workspace to “local business owners and professionals who are looking to reduce their commute time, improve their work-life balance, and save money.”
Founded in 1989 in Belgium and headquartered in Luxembourg, Regus proclaims itself to be the “the world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces, with products and services ranging from fully-equipped offices to professional meeting rooms, business lounges and the world’s largest network of video communication studios.”
The facility is located at Yahoo! Center complex on Broadway between Cloverfield Blvd. and 24th Street. Large companies with office space in the immediate area include MTV Networks, Lionsgate, Universal, and, of course, Yahoo!. The company reportedly reaches as many as 900,000 customers per day in 550 cities and 92 countries and has served clients like Google, GlaxoSmithKline, and Nokia.
