Santa Monica High School presents the 2nd annual “Homegrown Art Show and Sale” this Thursday, Jan. 12.
The event showcases work from current students, alumni, and teachers of the Samohi Art Department, all with the goal of raising funds.
Fifty percent of the sale of each piece will be donated to the art department’s account to help pay for materials and the other 50 percent will go directly to the artist.
This event will take place at Samohi’s Roberts Art Gallery, located in the History building on the campus from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition to the visual artwork on display, the night will also show off the talents of a few of Samohi’s musicians including Zoe Zelkind, Clara Lysy, and Clare Moses.
In the spirit of interdisciplinary art, all in attendance are invited to draw the musical performers during their sets.
Support the arts and join us for free food and refreshments, live musical performances and inspiring work all created in Santa Monica.
