Free Youth Synchronized Swimming, Water Polo In Santa Monica This Weekend:

The Santa Monica Swim Center will hold clinics for synchronized swimming and water polo for free on Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone aged 8 – 18 are invited to try out synchronized swimming and water polo at the Santa Monica Swim Center for free this weekend, March 3-4, thanks to Active Santa Monica. A water polo clinic will be offered on Saturday, March 3, 3 – 5 p.m. An intro to synchronized swimming will be held on Sunday, March 4, 10:30 am – 12:30 p.m.

Water polo is an exciting, fast-paced and challenging team sport. Besides swimming, it builds agility, quick reflexes, stamina, and coordination. Players must be a level 5 swimmer (Flying Fish) to participate. Classes are held on Saturdays at the Swim Center from 4 – 5 p.m. beginning March 10. The spring session will cost $80 for Santa Monica-residents, and $160 for non-residents.

Synchronized swimming combines gymnastics, swimming, and dance into a graceful routines set to music. Ongoing classes will be held at the Swim Center on Sundays from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. beginning on March 11. The spring session will cost $80 for Santa Monica residents and $160 for non-residents. Swimmers must be a level 4 (Fish) to participate.
