On Thursday, April 5, at 3:20 p.m. officers were on patrol in the area of Lincoln Boulevard and Pier Avenue when they came across a man who was pushing a shopping cart, sans shopping and nowhere near a market. The officers stopped this man and asked him what he was doing with the shopping cart.
This man told the officers that he needed the cart to manage his life’s possessions. The very same possessions that were all contained within the shopping cart, the officers noted.
The officers decided that they should search this man and so they did, and in doing so discovered some tools that were typically of the kind that burglars used to burgle.
This 41-year-old man was arrested and taken off to jail where he was charged with possession of burglary tools, misappropriation of lost or stolen property, a violation of probation, and several outstanding warrants.
This man’s bail was set at $13,529.
