The students of California Community Colleges, UC’s, CSU’s, and K-12 are converging this Saturday, May 19, at Santa Monica College to establish a statewide student union, according to Harrison Wills, member of the SMC student organizing committee.
Wills said the conference is open to anyone “committed to fighting the attacks on public education.”
“This includes faculty and staff as well as pre-K to 12 and adult education,” Wills said.
It will be held at Santa Monica College’s Humanities and Social Sciences, Room 165, which is located at 1900 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the conference will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
