SwimSpot celebrated the grand opening of its newest retail store concepts on Tuesday at Santa Monica Place with proceeds from the evening benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica.

SwimSpot started as an online retailer that offers contemporary designer swimwear and activewear, but has branched out into retail stores.

At Tuesday’s event, Santa Monica Place’s fashion savvy shoppers came to view some of the hottest swimwear trends of 2012.

Guests at the event sipped Piper Sonoma California Sparkling Wine and enjoyed frozen yogurt provided by Pinkberry.

Boys and Girls Club Director of Development Janis Morse said the organization was excited to be part of the evening.

“We are thrilled that SwimSpot supports our mission to provide a safe and positive environment for our local youth,” Morse said.

The evening featured a raffle with swimsuit and accessories giveaways.

SwimSpot Santa Monica Place is located at 395 Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica. For more information, please visit www.swimspot.com or contact us at 877.684.7946.
