Santa Monica police locked down the area near Santa Monica Boulevard and 4th Street on Monday evening after a man was stabbed at 6:45 p.m.
SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis said the victim was transported to a local hospital with multiple stab wounds.
“The suspect is not in custody,” Lewis said.
The 1400 block of 4th Street was shut down immediately after the incident. The victim’s condition is unknown.
