President Obama To Shut Down Westside Streets Sunday, Monday:

Santa Monica residents who commute across the Westside be warned: President Obama arrives in town Sunday and is expected to shut down major streets during his two-day visit.

While none of the closures are expected to be in Santa Monica, the President will visit Beverly Hills and Century City during his stay while he attends several events.

In a statement, Los Angeles police said details were not available on his arrival time and exact routes, saying only his motorcade will move through the Westside on Sunday afternoon, with temporary street closures.

In late Sunday afternoon, the statement said the motorcade will travel to downtown Los Angeles for more events, with potential brief closures along the 10 Freeway and streets around L.A. Live and Nokia Theatre.

Early Monday, there could be more street closures in the Beverly Hills and Westside areas as the president departs the Southland.

According to the LA Times, the following streets may be affected:

Sunday between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.: Pico Boulevard between Overland Avenue and Beverly Drive; Avenue of the Stars between Olympic and Sunset Boulevards; and Sunset between Beverly Glen and Doheny Drive.

Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.: Sunset Boulevard between Beverly Glen and Doheny Drive; North Whittier Drive between Sunset and Santa Monica Boulevards.

Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.: Avenue of the Stars between Wilshire and Pico Boulevards; Motor Avenue between Pico and the 10 Freeway; streets around L.A. Live and Nokia Theatre.

Sunday from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.: Motor Avenue between National and Pico Boulevards; Avenue of the Stars between Pico and Santa Monica boulevards.
