Santa Monica City Council Election 2012: Absentee Ballot Results In:

The results of the Santa Monica City Council election absentee ballots have been posted by the LA County Registrar’s Office.

A total of 18,988 absentee ballots were counted, which represents about a third of all local voters as there are 60,909 registered voters in Santa Monica.

The four candidates with the most votes will be elected to the seven-member council.

Incumbents Terry O’Day and Gleam Davis are up for re-election. Richard Bloom and Bobby Shriver are the other two incumbents, but Bloom is vying for the 50th Assembly District seat while Shriver simply chose not to seek City Council re-election.
