When polls close at 8 p.m. this Election Night on Tuesday, Nov. 6, Santa Monica residents will have two easy ways to access local election results.
Santa Monica CityTV and smvote.org will provide election results as they are received from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Office as soon as polls close.
The results will be continuously updated throughout the evening until the final semi-official results are in.
CityTV will air the Santa Monica final election results until noon on Wednesday, Nov. 7 so that those who don’t stay up late can wake up the next morning and see the results by tuning in. The results will air on cable channels 16 and 99.
The City’s election website, smvote.org will provide a convenient one-stop web page with all local Santa Monica races and ballot measures. The website will save Santa Monica voters from having to check several web pages to get local election results.
“We know that Santa Monica voters will be checking out multiple channels and websites on election night,” said Robin Gee, Public Information Manager, “having local results available at their convenience on cable television and online will make it easy for them to keep on top of all the races of interest to them throughout the evening.”
