Dispose Of Unwanted Records, Documents At Free Santa Monica Shredding Event:

The City of Santa Monica’s Resource Recovery & Recycling Division can help you safely dispose of your unwanted records and documents at a free shredding event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Jan. 12.

It will be held at the Fire Training Tower located on the City Yards, 2500 Michigan Avenue in Santa Monica.

OpEd: Anyone from my generation might express a warm feeling for George Harrison’s song “Here Comes the Sun.” First of all, it’s a tune from the “quiet Beatle” that is in many ways perfect in its simplicity: It’s been a long cold lonely winter and now… here comes the sun.
