Prepare For Valentine’s Day At Sale Today To Help OPCC:

Daybreak Designs, a program of OPCC, will host a Valentine’s Day sale today, Feb. 8 from 11am to 7pm.

It will take place at the OPCC Cloverfield Services Center at 1751 Cloverfield Boulevard in Santa Monica. 

Among the items being sold are handmade jewelry, greeting cards, quilts, crocheted items, pottery, tasty eats, and artwork created by clients and alumnae of Daybreak.

On Valentine’s Day, OPCC invites the community to take a stand against violence from 5:30-7:30pm at AREAL Lounge at 2820 Main Street in Santa Monica.

One dollar of every drink purchased will benefit Sojourn For Battered Women And Their Children.

About 10 years ago, there was a small wave of hype for an electric scooter called the Segway. However, hype quickly died down when people realized they looked ridiculous on it, to the point of movies like “Paul Blart, Mall Cop” satirized the vehicle altogether. At a glance, it seems like history is to repeat itself, with this new vehicle called the URB-E, standing for “urban electric.” However, that is not so much the case here as it was 10 years ago.
