A man on parole for robbery was taken off to Santa Monica Jail on Friday, Feb. 8 after police found him wandering in a section of Palisades Park that was closed to the public.
At 3 am, officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were on a routine patrol in the 1500 block of Palisades Park when they noticed a man inside the park grounds in violation of a chronologically centric Santa Monica Municipal Code that prohibits members of the general public from being there during certain hours.
The officers questioned this man and lo and behold discovered he was on parole for robbery.
This man was taken off to jail for the Municipal Code violation, and his bail was set at $500.
