2nd Annual Otis College of Art and Design Kite Festival
— Sunday, April 14 from 10 am to 4 pm
— Santa Monica Beach, North of the pier
Otis College of Art and Design will present a day of art and kite flying this Sunday next to the Santa Monica Pier.
Headlining a day of flying kites and other inflatables will be world-renowned kite maker Tom Van Sant along with a kite performance by Melanie Walker and George Peters.
Children from the organizations Urban Compass, Junior Blind of America, Children’s Bureau, and St. Jude’s Hospital will be bussed down to the beach to fly and create their own lightweight kites.
Everyone is invited to join them on this fun day.
