Malibu Art Association Exhibits At Schomburg Gallery Through May 11:

Gay Summer Rick's “Stop” will be on display at Schomburg Gallery through May 11.

Schomburg Gallery at Bergamot Station opens a juried exhibition of the Malibu Art Association this Saturday, April 13 with a reception from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Titled “Malibu Art Association: Still Life and Beyond,” the exhibition will run through May 11.

Founded in 1963 by local artist Marjorie M. Knowles, the Malibu Art Association’s mission is to support, inspire, and develop the “Spirit of Art” for all.

As a service oriented and educational organization, the MAA provides a yearly grant to local high school seniors studying art.

The MAA is a nonprofit organization, made up of a fellowship of artists, dedicated to art appreciation, education, and community service.

As a diverse group of artists and patrons, the MAA encourage members in their creative work and provides financial assistance for future artists in the community.

MAA continues to assist artists to realize their full potential and to blend art into the community through their Art in Public Places Program.

Schomburg Gallery is located at 2525 Michigan Ave. E3A (Bergamot Station). It is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm and by appointment.
