Does the Miramar really need to expand its square footage to over 500,000 square feet to make a profit or achieve its goals as a business?
To put that into context for everyone, that’s about the size of the Santa Monica Place, on a much smaller land parcel.
We haven’t seen a plan that proposes a lower density that’s in keeping with the LUCE and the current version of the Downtown Specific Plan–without the condos, for example.
The EIR should include a study of an alternative site plan with lower density, particularly without the 120 condos.
