Facelift Begins For Santa Monica Red Cross Office:

The Santa Monica office of the American Red Cross closed down Thursday for renovations.

Julie Thomas, CEO of the Santa Monica chapter, said the office would remain closed until July 8, 2013.

“We will be adding more space for volunteers, a Customer Service Kiosk so you can schedule your blood donations or training classes right in our office and a much newer, fresher look,” Thomas said. “We are excited about the changes that will result – even though we will need to close down for a while.”

Thomas said there would not be any blood drives on site during the renovations.

“We will be able to continue our Health and Safety Classes in the evening and on the weekends,” she said. “Blood Drive and weekday Health and Safety classes will start back up as soon as possible.”

Alternative locations for donating blood can be found at www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation or by calling 800.733.2767, option 2.

Alternative locations for taking our Health and Safety Classes can be found at www.redcross.org/take-a-class or by calling 800.733.2767, option 3.
