The AltCar Fleet Conference and Expo returns to Santa Monica this Friday and Saturday, which is free and open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm each day.
The expo is recognized as the leading forum for presentations and demonstrations of the latest advancements in alternative technology vehicles and transportation, urban planning, energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction education in the country.
The most stringent mandates on fuel economy standards in U.S. history, the Obama administration’s commitment and Governor Brown’s support of investments in advanced vehicles, fuel technologies and public transport combine to make the AltCar Expo especially relevant to Southern Californians.
Highlights include:
— Attendees will see and drive the largest collection of electric, hydrogen, propane, natural gas, bio-diesel and hybrid vehicles on the West Coast.
— Distinguished speakers from automakers, policymakers, alternative-fuel infrastructure planners, and fleet managers sharing the latest information on alternative vehicle technologies.
— Vehicle debuts including Ford’s new F-150 natural gas vehicle and four prototype natural gas consumer vehicles–BMW X3, Chrysler 300C, Honda CR-V, and Hyundai Sonata–by Southern California Gas Company in partnership with American Gas Association and America’s Natural Gas Alliance.
Friday’s Fleet Conference brings who’s who in alternative energy transportation.
Saturday’s Panel Discussions include Barriers to the widespread adoption of alternative technology vehicles, Alternative Technology Debate, and an Alternative Technology Vehicle Owners Panel.
The expo will be held outside the Santa Monica Civic Center, 1855 Main Street in Santa Monica.
