A free community lecture called “Don’t Let Arthritis Slow You Down” will be held this Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Santa Monica Main Library’s auditorium.
It will be held from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
Learn about the causes and prevention of various forms of arthritis, latest treatment and medications, surgery options and latest equipment and procedures, how to prepare for joint replacements and what questions to ask your surgeon, and lifestyle tips for nutrition and physical activity pre/post-surgery to be a successful patient.
The speaker will be orthopedic surgeon Kevin M. Ehrhart, MD.
Dr. Ehrhart is a board certified member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and an elected Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
He has been in practice in Santa Monica, California for more than 30 years and is one of the founding partners of Santa Monica Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group.
During this time Dr. Ehrhart has combined his private practice, centered at Saint John’s Health Center, with an academic involvement as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCLA, and a full-time faculty member in Santa Monica Orthopaedic Group’s Sport Medicine Fellowship.
