Santa Monica Democratic Club To Discuss The High Cost Of A Four-Year Degree:

The Santa Monica Democratic Club will host a free talk this Wednesday, Oct. 30 called “The High Cost Of A Four-Year Degree.”

The event will take place from 7-9 pm at the MLK Auditorium; Santa Monica Main Public Library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard, Santa Monica.

Attendees will learn about this national challenge that will shape Americas’ future and commitment to upward social mobility.  

The Santa Monica Democratic Club presents a program to correct this critical issue. Q&A to follow.

Panelists:

— Eddie Island, University of California Regent

— Michele Siqueiros, Executive Director, Campaign for College Opportunity

— David Dayen, journalist/blogger for Huffington Post, Salon, and New Republic

The moderator will Ben Allen, Santa Monica-Malibu School Board member and former University of California Student Regent.

No charge to attend, parking on site, and light refreshments will be served.
