Frosh sensation Ethan Finkel is now recognized as one of the up and coming cross country runners in the state. After a dominant season and representing the Crossroads boys cross country team at the CIF and state meets, Finkel is receiving a lot of attention these days.
Finkel was selected to the PrepCalTrack.com’s 2013 Freshmen All-State “Dream Team.” Finkel was selected to the third team. Finkel led the Roadrunners to the Delphic League title, finished among the leaders in the CIF Finals and performed well at the CIF state meet in November.
His best times for the season include running a very fast 16 minutes, 19 seconds in the 2.93 mile race, which he achieved at the CIF meet. Finkel also clocked a time of 17 minutes and 15 seconds in the 5,000 meters.
In other track news, the Santa Monica All-Comers meet took place Dec. 21.
