Full Closures Of 11th Street & Colorado For Expo Line Rail Crossing Installation:

Construction of the new Expo Line to Santa Monica is progressing with closures this week for construction of rail across 11th Street. Pictured is the recently completed tracks across Overland Avenue.

In order for the Expo Line contractor to install rail across 11th Street in Santa Monica, there will be a full street closure at the intersection of 11th and Colorado starting 5 am Monday, Dec. 9.

The continuous seven-day closure means 11th Street will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic at the Expo Line crossing on Colorado Avenue, and left turns onto Colorado Avenue will be prohibited.

Westbound and eastbound Colorado Avenue will remain open. Local access in the closure areas will be maintained at all times.
