Volunteer For The 2014 Santa Monica Homeless Count:

Help address homelessness in Santa Monica by becoming a volunteer to hit the streets to visually count every person sleeping in public spaces.

This year’s count will take place Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 10:30 pm to 2:30 am.

Join Santa Monica’s Police Chief, Fire Chief, and Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce at this rewarding and vital community event.

More than 200 volunteers will be assigned to teams that will cover every street, alley, and park to enumerate homeless individuals.

This annual count not only informs our homeless strategy but is a great way to be a part of the solution. Groups are welcome and no experience is necessary.

Security will be provided and all volunteers will receive training.

This year there is a new staging location: St. Monica Catholic Church Grand Pavilion, which is located at 725 California Avenue.
