The AMF Bay Shore Lanes in Santa Monica will today play host to the 18th Annual SuperBowl-A-Thon – the biggest annual fundraising for the Westside Shelter & Hunger Coalition (WSHC).
From 11 am to 8:30 pm, there will be sessions where a grand total of about 700 bowlers, representing local businesses, social service agencies, and local government will bowl for charity.
Proceeds from team registration and raffles with go to the WSHC.
Community leaders will join additional representatives from civic, faith, business and nonprofit organizations. All bowlers will receive a special t-shirt, food, bowling, and a fun time while feeling good about contributing to the WSHC.
This year’s SuperBowl-A-Thon’s top sponsors are the Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica (Presenting Sponsor) and CapitalSource Bank (Perfect Game Sponsor).
The “Strike Sponsors” are Downtown Santa Monica, Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, The Lobster, Morley Builders, NMS Properties, Santa Monica Firefighters, Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Santa Monica Police Department.
The “Spare Sponsors” are Central Parking, Coalition of Santa Monica City Employees, Harding Larmore Kutcher & Kozal, Knauf Associates, Pacific Park, Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, Santa Monica Place, and Seasons 52.

For 30 years, the Westside Shelter & Hunger Coalition has addressed the needs of the homeless and low income population in the western part of Los Angeles County by coordinating programs, such as food and shelter, job counseling and health services, as well as providing education and advocacy.
The WSHC is an alliance of more than 30 organizations representing local human service, government agencies and faith communities committed to ending hunger and homelessness on the Westside.
