Motorcyclist Killed In West LA Crash At Santa Monica Boulevard & Barrington:

The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division is investigating a fatal accident at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Barrington in West Los Angeles just before 6 pm Thursday.

According to reports, a male motorcyclist was killed at the intersection when he crashed with another vehicle; he was pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.

CBS News reports that speed as well as a road slick from drizzle is believed to have been a factor in the accident.

Westbound Santa Monica Boulevard (at Federal) and northbound Barrington Avenue (at Idaho) were closed for several hours during the investigation, CBS reported.
