Santa Monica Police Chief Victorious At SuperBowl-A-Thon:

Santa Monica Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks was victorious over Santa Monica Fire Chief Scott Ferguson at this year's SuperBowl-A-Thon.

The SuperBowl-A-Thon 18 held last Friday at the AMF Bay Shore Lanes was a huge success with about 700 bowlers taking part across six sessions from 11 am to 8:30 pm.

Since fundraising efforts are continuing through Feb. 18, the final fundraising tally and winning teams and individuals won’t be released until an awards breakfast scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at The Lobster.

However, this year’s Chiefs Challenge – an annual “bowl off” between Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks and Fire Chief Scott Ferguson – was won by Seabrooks with a score of 139 to 89.

She claimed the trophy – and bragging rights for the year – from Ferguson who defeated her in 2013.

Proceeds of the fundraiser will go to the Westside Shelter & Hunger Coalation to strengthen services to homeless and at-risk men, women, and families through education, advocacy, and service coordination.
