Santa Monica Woman, 44, Arrested After Argument With Sister Turned Violent:

Santa Monica police arrested a 44-year-old woman on Saturday, Feb. 8 after an argument with her sister escalated into a fight.

Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to the 1800 block of 18th Street at 9 am in order to investigate a case of a woman attempting to hit her sister during a family disturbance.

Upon arrival the officers spoke with the victim and she told them she had been attempting to leave her house when she felt someone pushing the door against her from the other side.

She stated that she had then looked around the door and noticed that it was her sister who had been doing the pushing.

This activity resulted in an argument.

This argument escalated into a fight whereupon the sister grabbed the victim by her blouse and in doing so scratched the victim’s chest.

It was at that time that the victim called the police.

After hearing the statements by the victim, and seeing a scratch on her chest, the officers arrested this woman and arrested her according to the private person’s arrest protocol.

Bail was set at $10,000.
