Authorities Identify Wisconsin Woman Killed In Santa Monica Hit-And-Run:

Wisconsin resident Kathryn Theis, 61, has been identified by the L.A. County Coroner’s office as the woman killed Saturday morning on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica in a hit-and-run accident.

Santa Monica police are still searching for a silver or grey Infinity G-35 (year make between 2003-13) with damage to the front end passenger side that was involved in the fatal accident at 1 am Saturday.

Theis and her daughter, 32, were struck in the 1600 block of Ocean Avenue near Seaside Terrace by a driver of the sports coupe with tinted windows. The driver fled the scene heading southbound on Ocean Avenue.

According to reports, Theis was in Santa Monica to visit her daughter who lived near the scene of the accident.

Moroso said the mother succumbed to her injuries at a hospital at 2 am; the daughter was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
