Monday, May 19, is the deadline for Los Angeles County residents to register to vote in the June 3 election.
The June 3 election is the California state primary. Several key offices that impact the Westside are up for grabs, including Henry Waxman’s congressional seat and Zev Yaroslavsky’s supervisorial seat. Each office will have a new person in office to represent Westside residents.
Richard Bloom will be defending his Assembly seat.
Residents can apply online at www.lavote.net or in person at the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office at 12400 Imperial Highway in Norwalk.
People can also obtain applications at public libraries, Department of Motor Vehicles offices, U.S. Post Offices and most government buildings.
The County also offers election assistance in Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese at (800) 481-8683.
