The League of Voters of Santa Monica Education Fund (LWVSMEF) is asking the public to participate in its election programming by submitting questions for City Council candidates to program@lwvsantamonica.org by Friday, Oct. 10.
Questions will be used for City Council Candidate Forums, including “Council Candidates Live!”, two live programs that will air on CityTV, cable channel 16 on October 20 and October 27 starting at 7 pm.
“We want to know what questions the public wants to hear answered by City Council candidates,” said Ann K. Williams, president of the LWVSMEF. “Our goal is to make sure our candidate forums are relevant and helpful in educating voters on the issues.”
The programs will be shown and replayed on cable channel 16, reaching the over 20,000 cable television households in the City of Santa Monica and on CityTV’s new digital broadcast channels 20.2 and 25.2 posted on smvote.org.
It is the mission of the LWVSMEF to educate our community’s voters so that they can make informed decisions at the ballot box.
