Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, a possible 2016 presidential candidate, is scheduled to speak today at a luncheon and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Bakersfield, at a dinner during the California Republican Party convention.
Various regional and committee meetings and workshops are also planned today at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott.
The three-day convention began Friday with committee meetings, workshops and a dinner honoring the party’s female elected officials and candidates.
The convention will conclude Sunday with a general session when the delegates will vote on a series of resolutions.
