Proponents of Measure LC are hosting a free Santa Monica carnival called “It’s Our Land – Come to the Fair” from 2 pm to 4 pm today to gather support for Measure LC.
The event is organized by Yes on LC, No on D, Committee for Local Control of Santa Monica Airport Land (CLCSMAL).
The carnival will feature information about the ballot measure, amusements, games, prize wheel, and carnival snacks for children of all ages.
It will be held on the 2300 block of 26th Street (south of Pico).
Organizers said a big turnout is expected, with residents from all over Santa Monica invited.
Organizers say there will no campaigning allowed except for “YES on LC – NO on D,” only name badges for recognition purposes.
